"Faith Promise"

Although the term "faith promise" is not used in the Bible, per se, the idea is very biblical. Simply put, faith promise is taking direction from God for what He would do through you beyond what you think you could do. At Liberty, this is specific to missions, where all the money is given away to spread the message of God's saving grace beyond our own borders.
Faith promise is based on 2 Corinthians 10:15-16"
"Neither do we go beyond our limits by boasting of work done by others.
Our hope is that, as your faith continues to grow, our sphere of activity
among you will greatly expand, so that we can preach the gospel
in the regions beyond you. For we do not want to boast about work
already done is someone else's territory."
Faith promise is more than just money. It is about you. It is an opportunity for you to develop a relationship with God in a way that is near impossible in any other manner. Thank about it for a moment - faith promise forces you to talk to God, it forces you to listen to God, and it ultimately forces you to trust God. Imagine for a moment where you could be next year at this time after a year of seeing God provide in ways that you never thought possible. Imagine how much more depth and intimacy you would have and what great trust you would have in Him. We speak often of how we want to grow or trust - here is an opportunity.
But beyond your own personal development, you also have the opportunity to make a global difference. Liberty gives you that opportunity as you partner with God to touch the lives of men, women, and children you will never meet. It is the mark of a caring church to do just that.
So what will you do with this opportunity? And how will you let God make a difference through you?
Just imagine...
